In consequence of the fall of man, both sorrow and rejoicing entered into the world.  Sorrow because of sin and transgression and rejoicing because of the light of Christ unto life. From the beginning of the world, the Gospel has been preached through the Son by the power of the Holy Ghost. In Christ was the Gospel, and the Gospel was the life, and the life was the light of men. The Lord Jesus testified that "this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world, for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come." [Matthew 24:32 IV]
