The Great Commission
Before Jesus ascended to His Father, He gave the apostles an important commission to go into all the world to preach the Gospel to every creature, teaching them to observe all things which Jesus commanded [Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-18]. For the promise was that "this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." [Matthew 24:14].
It is God's desire that everyone who will hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ may hear, "for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth." [Romans 1:16]. "How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent?" [Romans 10:14-15].
Unfortunately, the Gospel which the Church of Christ was founded upon during the life and ministry of the Master has been altered over the centuries. Thereby, clouding our knowledge of God and at the same time obscuring our personal relationship with Him. Thus, the Lord restored His Gospel that we might know His plan concerning those things which are coming upon the earth.
The following four principles can be viewed in any order. Each principle utilizes the King James Version of the Bible.
